Native Americans have used soapstone for bowls, cooking slabs, smoking pipes and ornaments for centuries. Soapstone is formed with talc and micas, as well as other minerals, that create some of the most beautiful colorings. No two are alike. Talk about a gorgeous piece for the altar!
